Questions on transportation between the heart of Dublin city and Swords

Hello all,

I've gotten so many excellent responses to my last question, so thank you all!
Now, I know I'm probably overthinking things, but the trips not too far off, so here's a question I have...
We're going to Dublin for the last leg of our trip. We arrive by Irish Ferry from Holyhead. I know there will be a bus at the Ferry Port that will meet each ferry as it arrives. I'm imagining it will take us to the main bus station, Busaras, where we can hit O'Connell station. Our B&B is in Swords, not too far from Malahide. So I'm thinking take the DART up to Malahide station as opposed to taking the bus which will take about 22 minutes vs. 45 minutes.
In Malahide theoretically I want to flag down a taxi (this is just for our initial arrival into Dublin from Wales) to take us to our B&B in Swords.

Is there a better way to do this or am I at least on the right track here with my plans?

Thank you all in advance!
Eric

Your plan sounds good to me. You can take the LUAS tram one stop from Busaras to Connolly (note spelling) station.

You can walk from Busaras to Connolly in about five minutes.

I rode trhe bus from Limerick to Shannon and can recommend riding Irish buses. When you arrive ask about the bus and where to catch it. Avoid the taxis unless you are RICH.

Malahide is only about 3 miles from swords so a taxi is an option I can't imagine it would be more than €20. There is a bus from Malahide to swords. I'm not 100% sure which one though.
