I'm having a hard time deciding between Premier Inn Southwar vs County Hall. Last time I stayed in the County Hall and I liked that was so close to the Victoria Tower (Big Ben) and Westminster..but wife says we should try the Soutwark.. Price wise is only a few pounds more on the County Hall vs Southwark. My only concer is that some reviews say Southwark can get dark and lonely at night and I dont want to feel unsafe if I come to the room late at night.. Any advice?
Fernando, We have stayed at County Hall many times. Last year when they were full I booked us into Southwark and I almost think we liked it better. The attached restaurant has an outdoor seating area with a view of the river. Though it is not next door to a major attraction like the Eye, it did quieten down pretty much in the evening, we never felt anything like lonliness or aprehension. The pub on the corner just opposite the tube entrance serves a really nice pear cider. If I have my way, we will stay there the next time we go to London.
Thank you Laurel.. Yes i went ahead and book the Premier Inn Southwark.. not far from the County Hall and I will have more oportunities to take pictures of differnt part of the city.. I looked the streets using google earth and it does have a different feeling.. Should be ok.. thanks
