If you could only go to 2 of the following spots, which would you pick?? Kilkenny, Cork city, Dingle and Galway....
Dingle and Galway
I would also vote for Dingle and Galway. However, you might also consider Kenmare which has a prime location for enjoying both the Beara Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry...... We were not particularly impressed with Kilkenny. IMHO, It's a pale imitation of York.
I forgot a key part to the question - we are going in March...same answers?
Dingle and Dingle (I'd skip the other three and just focus on one, but that's just me)
Dingle and Galway
Galway definitely. Probably Dingle too although weather will likely limit the view on any scenic drive.
Thanks, Kristi. We are going in May and I love your
question!
Me too! I'm going in September.
Dingle and Galway, no question.
We've been twice and Dingle is our #1 favorite spot in Europe. Go to Galway too.
Dingle & Galway.
Dingle and more Dingle, then Galway.
This is quite helpful. We definitely want to put both of these places on our agenda. We are traveling in March, so we initially had some concerns that Dingle may be a poor choice. We are still on the fence about renting a car. I am trying to convince my husband that it will be so much easier if we do, but he isn't thrilled about either of us trying to drive in Ireland. Hopefully I can convince him otherwise, because I don't see how we can fit both Dingle and Galway into our trip unless we can travel when we want, rather than according to the bus and train schedules.
I am glad you asked the question. I am going to be driving around Ireland for two weeks and am overwhelmed with how many wonderful places to go. I will definitely be at Dingle and Galway for sure!
KIlkenny and Dingle!
Allow some time to just wander too. Ireland is amazing off the beaten track away from the tourist hordes.
