According to Rick's 2008 England book it is a full day's drive to do his self-guided Dartmoor joyride in western England. May I have suggestions as to how to shorten it to one half to three-forth's of a day?

I would suggest that what you need to do is get a good map and go over the route to see if you can find alternative roads to take to shorten the trip. Only you know what you would want to delete from the trip. However, it is a moor and the number of roads is limited. Good luck!
