Places to visit with luggage

When we first arrive in London we will have about 4 hours before we can drop our bags off at our accommodation.

We would like to see some sights - (ie. British Museum or catch one of the London sights buses to have a tour of the city). Can we do these with our luggage, otherwise is there a secure place we could secure our luggage. We each have a carryon size suitcase (with the exception of one having a slightly larger bag) and a backpack each.

Any of the train stations will have a "Left Luggage" service and for a few pounds, you can leave your bags there. Just determine which station is most convenient for you and off you go.

You might want to check with your hotel (if you haven't already). They might allow you to drop your bags even before you check in.

Eric is right. Almost all hotels will let you leave your luggage if your room is not ready (assuming you have a reservation.) Usually it's at the bellman station is there is one, or they'll hold it behind the front desk.

And, if the hotel was not full the night before, and your room is ready, they may let you have it then. It's happened to me many times. I've been able to check in as early as 9 AM....take a shower, change clothes and be on my way for a full day of sightseeing.
