When we go in August, we are staying at the Town House B&B (across from the castle). Though we haven't stayed there yet, it comes recommended.

It isn't a typical "Rick" type of place, but we like the Hilton. It is across the street from the castle, very nice. Right in the heart of the city.

5 or 6 years ago we stayed at the Marriott - nice central location 2 mins from the train station and easy walk to the castle.
