My husband and I are flying into London next month, and are taking the chunnel to Paris the next morning. We want to pick up our reserved tickets the day before we leave for Paris, but are not sure if we can pick them up at any train station (Victoria) or if we actually have to go to the train station where we depart for Paris (I think Paddington?)
The Eurostar leaves from St. Pancras and you can pick your tickets up the day you leave. No need to do it the day before, especially since that is the day you arrive from the U.S.
If you wait and pick up your tickets at St Pancras International, be sure to allow a little extra time beyond the 30 minute check-in deadline.
That is the problem--we are taking a very early train, and we didn't want to arrive more than 30 minutes prior to get our tickets... We arrive in London around 10 AM the previous day, and hoped to pick up the tix at that time.
Pick your tickets up at the Eurostar platform at St Pancras station. They have remodeled it hoping to draw travelers and locals to their businesses so it is a nice place to explore if you are already there because in the morning most of it will be closed.
I don't understand Jenufa's post. You can't get to the Eurostar platform without having a ticket in your hand. You must go to the small office on the main level of the station, in which there are 2 agents, and pick up your previously booked tickets from them. They will then point you in the right direction to get yourselves to the waiting area for the Eurostar you have booked. All very simple.
