Paddington to St. Pancras International on the Tube?

I'll be trying to get from Paddington to St. Pancras International at about 9am on a Tuesday morning in late June. I have a choice between the Circle line and the H&C. Taking into account station layout, rush hour, etc. which one would a seasoned London tube rider recommend?
