I think I've read so much about these that I've actually gotten myself confused. Please help. I'm going to London for 6 full days and will be travelling quite a bit in zones 1-6. What's the difference between an Oyster Card and say, a 7-day Travelcard? Which would be best?
It does not matter what station you enter, it does not get printed on the voucher. I used "Willesden Junction" as that is a rail station that is zone 2. Put in what you want, all that gets printed is your name, county, post code (zip code) and e-mail adress. Your date of travel does not matter, either.
Oops, wrong thread above. The Oyster Card is like a prepaid debit card, load it with cash or a travelcard and spend it as specified. If you want to take advantage of the Days Out 2 for 1 discounts you will need a paper travelcard issued by a rail station, not an underground station and definitely not an Oyster Card.
