Oslo restaurant recommendations

A friend will be in Oslo for a couple of nights this month and is asking for restaurant recommendations. She is adventurous and knowledgeable, both in consuming and creating great meals. In this instance, budget is not a priority. Any suggestions I can pass on to her would be much appreciated.

If she walks along the Strand (sort of a boardwalk, located on the harbor near the Radhus and Nobel Prize Museum), there's about a dozen or so restaurants to choose from. All have a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Great people watching area as well. For another option that looked pretty good, there's a restaurant just off the Holmenkollen Tbahn stop (close to the ski jump). I didn't eat there, but it would probably be worth a meal for the view alone. I also enjoyed a meal at Brasserie Hansken, which sits very close to the Akershus. Finally, one place NOT to eat at- I forget the name, but it's advertised in the book that comes with the Oslo pass as "typical Norwegian". The food, quite frankly, was of microwave dinner quality.

It depends heavily on budget and food type. If she just wants the best food available, there are a couple of excellent places (Alex Sushi, Palace Grill, etc.). If she wants Norwegian food or something at a lower price range or something else, then it's a bit trickier.

Same as Tom. There is a line of cafes on the harbor toward Akershus within site of the City Hall and Nobel center. The food was good but we chose it for the view of the harbor. On the other side of Akershus, the Opera house (looks like an iceberg) seems to be a good spot for picnicking. I noticed a couple small food stands. I'm not sure if they have any cafes.
