Oslo - money exchange and laundromat?

Where are the best places to exchange money in Oslo?
Where are there good laundromats?

Why don't you just use an ATM? For the money, I mean, not the laundry. Withdrawing from an ATM gives you a better rate than going to an exchange.

When I was there in May of 2005, I asked the City Hotel attendant the laundromat question. He showed me where the closest one was on a city map. It took me about 20 minutes to walk there (The City Hotel is pretty close to the train station).

I arrived about 10 minutes before the scheduled opening time listed on the door (it was morning). I waited next to the door for over a half hour, but no one came. I was about ready to leave in frustration when it popped into my head that I should to try the doorknob - turned out the door was unlocked. I guess this particular laundromat was unstaffed. At any rate, I used my Norske coinage, did my laundry, and headed out in time to stash my bag at the hotel and wander around town for awhile before catching the night cruise to Copenhagen.

As for money - well, I brought some kroner with me from home, and when I ran out I just used ATMs to replenish my supply. They are all over the place in Oslo. Good luck!
