Orangery afternoon tea

Hi, if time permits , we would like to experience afternoon tea and read in one of the thread regarding this. Does anyone by any chance know the cost of the afternoon tea and do they take credit cards? Thanks

There are several different teas..the signature one (basic) which includes finger sandwiches, scones and pastery, and tea is £14.95. It's very good. The Orangery is so pretty inside. You will really enjoy it.

As stated above, the cost depends on what you choose to order.

After we had afternoon tea at the Orangery we toured Kensington Palace. It was very interesting.

Thank you very much for the info regarding the afternoon tea at Kensington. I already have it on our schedule of things to do.
I have 2 other questions. Is there a dresscode and
are the weekends so busy that we need to reserve ahead. we were planning to just show up. Thanks again.

"are the weekends so busy that we need to reserve ahead?"Reservations are not taken at the Orangery, per their website: Orangery websiteYou asked about the dress code: click here for discussions of that, note the dates of some of the postsAnd here's a more general discussion you may find helpful: http://www.ricksteves.com/graffiti/helpline/index.cfm?topic=46206

Though not usually afternoon tea fare, my friend Jennifer said the potato salad she had at the Orangery was the best she had ever had.
