We arrive in London after an overnight flight from Chicago at 9am. I have a car picking us up from Heathrow and bringing us to our hotel on Cromwell rd. We leave the following day (saturday) at 5pm via the eurostar train to Paris.
My question is what can we reasonably accomplish in that time. We're ok with hitting the ground running so to speak and not relaxing at all.
In order of importance to us we'd like to see:
Tower of London
Kensington
Buckingham Palace (yes just the outside)
Big Ben & Parliment (photos)
Westminister Abbey (just the outside if necessary)
Horse Guards
We will be using the BigBus company to hop on/off
I was thinking: go right to Tower of London upon arrival, lunch after touring, then hop back on & tour till 5pm - for all the photo ops, hoping off when necessary. End at the Horse Guards for hte dismount at 6pm. The bus tour ends at 6pm so then we're on our own to the London Eye and then back to the hotel.
Saturday am, Kensington Palace and shopping before we leave.
Thoughts?
