One night in Rouen - but all Rick's recommendations are full

We are spending a night in Rouen in September after a night at Mont St. Michel and 3 nights in Bayeux. The nice "Rick Steves" hotels are all booked for that night. I can find some very expensive rooms ($250+) but wonder if there are other alternatives. Anyone have a good recommendation either in central Rouen or outside the city?

We stayed at the Hotel Rouen-St Sever which is located across the river, (about a mile and half from the train station). Hotel Bayeux is excellent, especially if your visiting the battle fields, etc.
Both are very good at a reasonable price. Good luck.

The Coeur de City is convenient and pretty good for the price. After that, it's the big bucks places or the ETAPs on the other side of the river as far as I'm concerned. All of these three run around sixty bucks. However, there's an Ibis and a Mercure on the east end of the Quai de Paris. They shouldn't be that bad in price ($125?), but I've stayed in neither. They're both about a half mile from the cathedral and a half-interesting walk. The Mercure right near the cathedral is over-priced for what it's worth - - I've stayed in that one once - - maybe $150?
