What's the October weather like on Ireland's west coast? Anything at all like the weather in Cornwall and Devon?
Does the idea of renting a cottage or flat for a week or so in October seem like a good idea, or an idea doomed to wind and rain? (I'm not averse to rain and clouds, just gales.)
jc. You can't predict the weather in Ireland. Two years ago we had rain the majority of the time in September for 3 weeks. Our trip to the Cliffs of Moher had high winds and very rainy. On our past two trips we always had some days of rain. Take a rain coat and rain pants and good waterproof shoes. The pictures of the ruins aren't as good as in good weather but we did our best in the rain.
