Norway, Sweden and Denmark

I have a blowdryer and curling iron that I bought in France and have used in France and Italy. I would like to know if they will work in Norway, Sweden and Denmark as I am going to all three countries. Is the plug the same or do I need an adapter. Is the voltage the same in all the countries. I know it is the same in France and Italy.

Thank you.

I believe the outlets are the same - the standard European 2-prong. Voltage should be the same.

It will work in both Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The outlets are not exactly the same in the three countries - and not exactly the same as in France, as the grounding system varies between countries, but the plugs for ungrounded appliances (and most grounded appliances) are the same - and the same as in France. And besides, a hair dryer and a curling iron are normally ungrounded. Voltage is the same as France.

We discovered that the outlets in Denmark have their own switch for turning the outlet on or off. Took us a few minutes to figure it out!

Yes, the switch was law until 2001. Now the norm is to make outlets without switch, but there are still many many switched outlets out there. Outlets without switch have to be recessed though.
