I'm traveling to Norway very soon. For part of the trip, I will be on the Hurtigruten cruise from Kirkenes to Bergen. Has anyone been to the North Cape (Nordkapp)? Is it worth the time and expense? From what I have read, it seems like it's a non-interesting excursion. Any advice, pro or con would be appreciated.
My daughter and I were visiting friends in Kirkenes and they took us to Nordkapp, I thought it was interesting and worth the trip. I thought it was beautiful. It's so dramatic, the North Cape (Nordkapp) rock towiering 1,007 ft above the Artic Ocean. It's over 400 million years old. There is a great restaurant in Kirkenes which sets on the borker of Kirkenes and Russia, Pasvik Taiga owed by Hans Herik great food. It's all made fresh daily so reservations are neccessary.
