We will be traveling to Norway in mid-October. Unfortunately, we will only have 2 days to sight see. What I have read is that Norway in the Nutshell is doable in 1 day in the summer but not in the winter. What about in October?

The Nutshell tour is a 1-day tour year round. The only difference is that during the summer there in an additional morning departure from Oslo because of the longer day light hours. You can look up schedules at this website:

We did Norway in a Nutshell in late September about 6 years ago. Even though a landslide on the return (Bergen-Oslo) route slowed us down, a bus took us for part of the way, and a commuter train, not our pre-booked sleeper car, took us the rest of the way to Oslo, on time. The Scandinavians take timetables seriously. Have fun... and I wish you had more time. We've been to Norway three times, and can't wait to go back again... for longer.
