Norway in a Nutshell - book how far in advance?

After much research I've decided to do the one-way trip from Oslo to Bergen on the Norway in a Nutshell tour.

I will be traveling in late May.

How soon in advance should I book this trip? Will the spots fill up fast? Also are there reserved seats on the train or is it first come - first serve for the window seats?

You have to book the Nutshell tour ASAP. The reason being the train out of Oslo is reservation only; all seats are reserved. The train carries not only Nutshell passengers but regular commuters all along the route. It's a very popular route and the train always sells out.
