I am renting a car in Oslo and scheduled to stay two nights in Balestrand. I would love to see the Atlantic Highway but wonder if I can do that in a (long) day of driving? If I can't do both - should I drive the Atlantic Highway or the area around Balestrand? Thanks for any help!

I guess the trip from Balestrand to the Atlantic Higway would take about 7 hours one way. You could try to take an express ferry to Bergen if you haven't been there before. http://www.balestrand.kommune.no/?language=eng
