I'm planning a route from Bergen to Oslo with doing multiple stops in Sognefjord. Which route is the most scenic from Bergen? Option A: Express Boat from Bergen to Balestrand taking smaller ferries to Flam and Gudvagen Option B: Train from Bergen to Voss, Bus to Gudvangen, and Ferry to Flam and other places in Sognefjord Both options I plan to take the train from Flam to Oslo.

We did this same trip using the Express Boat from Bergen (great town!) to Balestrand (stayed at Balestrand Hotel) and after three days the ferry to Flam. From there we took the train(s) to Oslo. I think the astounding views from the water are not to be missed. From our base in Balestrand we took day trips. Ferry to Vic to see the stave church and walk around the village. Another day we took the ferry up to Fjaerland (known for book stores and stalls) , Glacier Museum and the bus to Jostedal glacier.
