Has anyone traveled in Northern Wales? We're (my 14yr old and myself) not going until next spring...But I've been looking at places to go, but really I find only like Llangolln and Snowdonia. Has any found the true Wales expernice? Thanks
What do you mean by "true Wales experience"?
We really enjoyed Betwys-y-coed when we stayed there. Nice, very samll village with lot to explore and reasonable public transportation. You heard Welch spoken in shops and had peaceful walks and beautiful scenery. We also enjoy Cardiff. It is one of my favorite cities with a "flavor" all its own.
We really loved staying in Betwysncoed. There are good restuarants, great hiking, and lots of charm. Bryn Afon is a B&B that we stayed in and it was a good choice--run by a very nice couple who moved up from London.
There are some great castles in Northern Wales. Having spent time in the Sierras, Cascades and Rockies and Alps, I could have skipped the mountains. I like the language, mens choirs and castles.
