We will be in Belgium and would like to continue north to the Netherlands. We only have a day or two. Any recommendations on the best places to visit along the North Sea? Character, but not crazy with tourists... :)

we stayed in Noordvijk on the North Sea; IC train to Leiden, Connexxion Bus to Noordvijk, then a walk along the Promenade to Hotel Zonne-the experience of the North Sea was fabulous....

Domburg in Zeeland is absolutely adorable, but you'll be far from the only tourist in town. For some reason, the town is usually filled with visitors from Germany.

If you are in zeeland province, go see the Delta works... . .an amazing thing the Dutch have done. If you want to go farther North, I'd suggest Haarlem .. . love that town.Go see the TenBoom house. . .. this family hid resistance fighters and Jews during WWII and they still give tours of the house.
