Night Bus Tours of London?

I thought “Original Tour” and “Big Bus Tour” offered evening bus tours of London, but I don’t see anything mentioned on either of their websites. We will arrive at our hotel near Victoria Station around 4:30 p.m. and want to hit the ground running. Although I prefer Original or Big Bus does anyone know of any other company that offers night tours of London?

London Walks offers walking tours every evening.

I've been on many of their walks and have never been disappointed.

Sitting on a bus while it drives around will not help you get over jet lag or sleepiness. The vibration of the bus will lull you to sleep. Get out in the air and move.

I agree that a bus trip that late is not the best idea. If you don't want to do the London Walks, just select and area and stroll around and people watch. Take the Tube- I'd sugget going to Leciester Square - it is great for getting a taste of "London Atmosphere". You could then wander over to China Town for supper. From there up to Picidilly Circus or Covent Garden. Take the Tube back and get off at Westminster. Look at Big Ben and Parliment, wander down Pall Mall and see Buckingham as you stroll back to your hotel.

Last month we took a somewhat chilly but BEAUTIFUL and fun night bus tour of London, sitting on the top deck, starting 9:30 PM. The company was called London-By-Night, and the cost was 13 pnds, each. The stops are spread out across the city. The final stop was at Victoria Station, close to our hotel in Belgravia. You can find details on our trip on my travel blog at http://moltogentileitalia.blogspot.com. Our full England itinerary can be found under the old posts on that blog site, too. Cheers!

Found the website for you: www.london-by-night.net. We thought it was really gorgeous at night, and the guide was very, very funny, full of English understatement.

Thank you very much! Those tour times are perfect. It gives us a chance to walk around after we arrive, so we won't fall asleep, AND get an overview of the city the first night there.
