Any suggestions on cheap but good places to eat near St.Martins theatre in the theatre district? Probably nothing ethnic as I have a picky 15 year old with me.
We enjoyed the Sherlock Holmes Pub. Initially we thought it would be touristy but there were plenty of locals in there too. The food is typical pub fair; there's a fun exhibit upstairs showing Holmes' mythical apartment on Baker Street. It's a few blocks from the theatre district near Charing Cross Station.

Just the other side of Covent Garden is the Marquess of Anglesey. Their menu is online so you can check if it is suitable for a young palate!
I've not eaten there for a while but I like the atmosphere downstairs and the food used to be good.
