Nice flat in Knightsbridge, S. Kensington or Notting Hill

My husband and I are taking our grandchildren, 9 and 11, to London July 14-21 and want to find a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath flat on the Piccadilly or Central line. Second option is a nice hotel with connecting rooms. Any ideas?

I've been on VRBO or days. Will try both of your hotels now. Thanks so much for the fast reply. Judy

Hi Judy,

The Vancouver Suites has acceptable rooms and they have a new 3 bedroom apartment on the lower ground floor. The property is close to Hyde Park...great for kids and has a nice kitchen for fixing breakfast and other meals. I haven't seen it but it sounds good! There are several tube stops nearby...but do take the kids on the bus, we always did and they loved sight seeing that way. We only used the tube at night or if we were in a hurry to get some place.

Good luck!!

Judy,

My mistake...It's Vancouver Studios not Suites and the email to take a peek at them is:vancouversuites.co.uk The booking person is Francesca.

The London Elizabeth Hotel.....http://www.londonelizabethhotel.com/...has family rooms. I just checked your dates and they have a room for £158.00, it's a two minute walk to Lancaster Gate tube station which is on the Central Line. It's across the street from Hyde Park.

Try The Mansions.

They're two blocks from the Earls Court tube station which is on the Piccadilly line. Plenty of markets and take away shops nearby.
