I'm attending a wedding in Newcastle, England in November. A friend and I are trying to find sensibly priced accomodations ($100-150/night) in a safe area near the nightlife that don't require us to rent a car.
Anyone have any suggestions of good hotels w/ some local color? We've been told to rent a cottage out of town w/ other wedding-goers, but with car rental, that sounds like a pricey, and maybe not a particularly appealing option.
