My husband and I (both in our mid-20's) are looking for something to do for New Year's Eve in Dublin. We would like the typical dinner and dancing. Any bars/pubs/clubs that we should check out? I assume we will need to buy tickets. Any ideas?

She did, but I don't think anyone answered about New Year's in particular.
I was in Dublin for New Year's two years ago, and it was fabulous! We didn't chose a location ahead of time to eat or party, but just walked along Grafton Street and O'Connell Street until we found places we wanted to go into. There were no tickets required, but the cover charges were higher than usual. I think we each paid 20 or 30 Euro to enter the dance club we ended up at. However, it was well worth it and I'd do it again any year! Watch for all of the men in their kilts - it was definitely part of the charm :)
