We know how we will be getting to Tower Pier for our cruise ( Hop on Hop off bus), but at 1:00 AM how are we going to get back to our hotel in South Kensington (down the road from Harrods)? I have some difficulty getting around, so I'm not able to walk long distances. Thanks!

"Long distances" to walk, is an undefined term here. I've navigated London almost exclusively by Tube over many visits. Though I'm luckily free of mobility impairments, some of my friends aren't, and I am aware there's a fair bit of walking involved in any Tube journey. If the total amount of walking required for a Tube journey back to your hotel is a concern, you could inquire via email about taking a cab: http://www.londonblackcabs.co.uk I hope I'm not going too far out on a limb in thinking that taxicab services will be running, to serve the many New Year revelers at that time of night.
