Need suggestions for a possible train pass

I will be travelling by train during my stay in England. I plan on 2-3 trips into London from my base in Henley. I also plan on 1-2 other day trips...to say Winchester and Windsor. Is there a train pass I can purchase before I travel that will cover these trips and save me some money? Or one I can buy in England after I arrive? Please send me a link if you have a suggestion. Thank you!

Lynn, you can check individual trip ticket prices at www.nationalrail.co.uk After reading your question, I searched for a return (round) trip from Henley-on-Thames to London and got a price of £17 Since it looks like you're not intending on taking any really long train trips which can run into some serious money, a BritRail Pass doesn't seem like a cost effective option.

I've used the LondonPlus pass a couple of times. Look in the Railpasses section in this website and go to the bottom of the Britain section. A pass may save you money. I found them to be convenient, as many of the trains in the London area do not require reservations. Just fill out the date on the pass and get traveling.
