Hello all, My question is this: Are the national rail windows at Waterloo marked as such (i.e. with the double crow's foot mark) or do they say national rail at the window? I just want to make sure I purchase our tickets at the correct spot at the waterloo station so as to take advantage of the two for one deals. Thanks in advance!
The ticket windows for the Underground system are in the Underground station which is downstairs under Waterloo mainline station. If you stay in the railway station there is no danger of buying Underground tickets by mistake. Here is the website for Waterloo mainline station with pictures and maps. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/wat/details.html
Just saw this on Trip Advisor " 7 day paper travelcards Apr 24, 2012, 12:36 PM
Spotted a notice in my local train station stating ' From 20th May , all paper 7-day travelcards require a photocard. We will not be able to issue 7-day travelcards without a photocard'. Anyone wanting a paper 7-day travelcard will need to provide a passport size photograph for the photocard." Thought you'd want to be prepared.
