We would like to find a written guide for the Hermitage or find a local guide that someone would recommend. We will be in St. Petersburg in July and have already purchased our museum tickets online.

I was at the Hermitage last week and it was lovely! I was with a group and we had a guide. I did notice that they have audio guides. I will say that it is VERY crowded. Extremely crowded. Also there is a very small place to get a lunch - I could not call it cafe or even a tea room but it was the only dining opportunity I saw.
