I went years ago. Dinner was not good, place was crowded with bus tours,, did not feel special.
Show was ok, but way overprices,, shows in Vegas are much better.. really.

If you must go , skip dinner.

Tarn, of course, you'll only know if it's worth it to you if you spend the 150 pounds, and then it will be too late. Think of what else you can do with that amount of money in Paris. I hate the term "tourist trap" because people misuse it to describe just busy, popular tourist sites, but I certainly consider the Moulin Rouge a genuine, gimme-your-money-and-we'll-give-you-a-sleazy-show-and-bad-food tourist trap kind of place.

I went tere a few years ago. We got a "deal" through one of those places that broker tickets and it included a meal away from the Moulin Rouge - where you got a price fixed meal that included a bottle of wine. They then took you to the show. In the show you get a bottle of champagne. I figure the actual value of that was about half of what we paid. The show was good and so was the meal. I would not eat the meal at the Roulin. You are talking pounds here, and I don't know if it is the same as euros. Most things in Paris are overpriced. It really depends on what your interests are. We just did the Champagne and Burgundy region last month and we were happy with the prices on most things.

My husband and I went for dinner & the show last year -- loved the show -- thought it was quite entertaining. Food was mediocre, but we sat at a table with a couple from Glasgow and had a wonderful conversation with them throughout dinner.
Yes, it's a touristy thing to do, but, hey, you're there as a tourist. I, too, thought it was brutally expensive, but at the end I was very glad that I went.
