I know I'm crazy, but I'd like to rent a motorcycle during my upcoming trip in Ireland. Preferably one with a sidecar, but two wheels is okay too (I'm licensed for and own both).
We'll be in the west and northwest, flying in and out of Shannon. I've tried to find rental places online with no luck. Not interested in a guide-led tour, just a rental.
Anybody have good ideas (other than Don't Do It!)?

Anyone know of anything on the west coast? If not, might be worth a trip to Co. Kildare to pick up a bike there.
Two years ago I couldn't find any rentals in Ireland. They kept telling me the insurance is very expensive. Lots of crashes.
I logged onto a website called "Irishbikers" or something like that and they told me that all of the rentals were shut down because they couldn't get insurance.
