Montreal Hotels

Dear Friends, We are taking a cruise out of Montreal in June and are looking for a hotel adjacent to the port or with shuttle service to the port. We plan to spend a couple of days in Montreal before boarding our ship. thanks for your suggestions. Cordially yours,

There is a nice little hotel in Old Montreal at the Port called Auberge Bonaparte which you may want to check out. I doubt they have a shuttle but it would be just a short taxi ride to your ship. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, too. Google Tourism Montreal for things to see and do.

FYI, hotels in Montreal do not offer shuttle services to the Port. Taxis are plentiful and not expensive within the downtown area. The downtown is easily reached from Montreal's Trudeau airport in Dorval; using the L'Aerobus Shuttle or by taxi (more expensive and outrageously so in rush hour!) Norma's suggestion for Old Montreal is bang on - There are several nice boutique hotels, in the heart of the most historic part of the city near the Port: Auberge Bonaparte, Hotel Nelligan, Auberge du Vieux-Port, Le Petit Hotel, Le Saint-Sulpice, etc.. Just a little further and closer to the downtown shopping area are several larger good hotels: The Fairmount Queen Elizabeth, the Sofitel, the Loews. Any of these will serve your purpose well. The main areas that you will be walking/exploring will be centered around Old Montreal, St. Catherine Street and St. Denis Street - so pick a hotel on/near any of these. BTW - June 24th is the Fête Nationale holiday and the end of June can be very muggy (hot and humid).
