I recently returned from Ireland. While there, I was given a moneyback card. The kiosks at the airport did not work and there was no one in customs. I have tried to do this online and am not able to download the form. I have emailed the site numerous times and no response and the phone # in the brochure appears to be wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? Help!!!
You have to have the VAT forms stamped at the airport before you leave. When I was there last, two of the offices (there are three types of refund) were closed, but they had drop boxes where you could leave the forms. I got all of the refunds I was supposed to get, so they must have been processed properly. Sometimes the store will not charge you the VAT tax at the time of sale if you're using a credit card, but in that case you must turn the form in or you will be charged for the VAT tax later. I'm not sure there is any way to turn them in once you are home.
I received the "moneyback" card while shopping at the Blarney Woollen Mills. It looks like a credit card. It records all your purchases. This was supposed to be an easy procedure. I did turn in some receipts at the airport, but I have other charges on this card. Has anyone else run into this problem?

I've read that you can have your VAT forms notarized here and send them in for reimbursement. Seems weird that the site would not respond to your requests. Maybe you could try contacting the Irish Tourism Board for help tracking them down??
