Can i return my oyster card at Heathrow to get my money back when I leave London? (assuming they have a shop which sells the cards to begin with!)

Yes, you will get the £3 refund and yes you can buy them at Heathrow.

Or, keep it for the next time. The card is transferrable and never goes bad.

They dont technically expire, but will go inactive after 2 years. They will then have to be reactivated.
