Missing Queens Birthday[INVALID]how about Colonel's Review?

We will be in London from June 6th to June 13th this year. Missing the queens birthday celebration/Trooping the Color on June 15th...not sure if that's a GOOD or BAD thing (cool to see, but then there are the crowds..) Anyway, has anyone been there for the "Colonel's Review," the "practice" for the Trooping the Colors ceremony, a week prior? If so, what can you share about the experience...worth it? How long it lasts? Where to best see it? Crowds? Any thoughts/help about this would be appreciated. I assume this will take place on June 8th, the Saturday prior? Thanks!

I have seen the practice reviews and loved them. You still need tickets to get into Horse Guards to view it otherwise you can line the Mall. I think one of the best vantage points is on the corner of the Mall and Horse Guards Road (the road between Horse Guards Parade and St. James' Park. From the corner you have a longer view of the procession. You can go online to Trooping The Colour and find more information as to times.
