Going to England in July. Looking for a medieval banquet to attend with children. Any help would be appreciated.
About once a month, there is a medieval banquet at Ruthin Castle in Wales.
There is a place which looks fascinating near St Katherine's Dock. At least it was there a year ago. It is below street level, but can be seen from the sidewalk. To get in, we walked around to the back. I will look for the literature we took with us and if I can find it, make another post.
The one at St Katharines Docks is the Ivory House.
Rather expensive, like $80 for adults & $60+ for children.

Thanks, Tim, that is the place. However, the prices are not as high as you state. It appears that weeknight prices for four course meal, unlimited wine and beer, and 2 hour show is about $65 for adults; about $7 more for weekend nights. Their website is www.medievalbanquet.com. Have not eaten there, so cannot comment on food or entertainment. Just stumbled upon the place while walking around the area and found the interior very charming.
