I'll be taking a group of high school kids to see Wicked in a few weeks. Can anyone recommend a good spot for a pre-show dinner?

Not a great area for restaurants.
I like Shazan, a turkish restaurant about 5 minutes walk away

It gets busy so it would be best to book. Might be good with a group as the starters can all be shared.
If you want something less exotic there's a Pizza Express not far away in Victoria Street.
I really enjoyed the book, and hope you have a good time at the show.
Cheers

What size is your group? Some restruants won't be able to take a large group without reservations. There is a pub- The Shakespere just down the street (across from Victoria Station) that serves good food. Victoria station has a food court with McDonald's, KFC, a bagel place, etc. (actally 2 McD's- one upstairs, one down). There are some "sit down" resturants there also. Down the street is The Spaghetti House, nice Italian family runs it. They have a large room upstairs-.
I did a similar trip in 2008 and we ate at The Shakespeare pub. We may just do that again, it seemed like a pretty authentic spot and not your typical "Hey, you're in England!" kind of spot.
