Hey all, my mother and I will be in London this coming May and the Bank holiday (5/27/13). Does anyone know how much is closed or how bad the tube schedule is changed? I'm trying to plan out an itinerary and I want to have an idea of how much this will effect me. Thanks!!!

Probably very little. There may be some engineering work going on, but that is the case at any week. Attractions may be busier over the bank holiday weekend. As the name suggests banks and offices will in general be closed, but not retail etc.

Tube closures aren't announced until earlier in the same week, I'm afraid.

There is a longer-term calendar, but that typically is only 3 months ahead and subject to change.

Very little. If there is work on the underground, take a bus. As noted crowds might be bigger in some locations. Pretend it's like President's Day.
