My wife and I leave for Amsterdam on September 10, 2011. I understand laws are changing about selling marijuana in coffee shops. Does anyone know the current status and if so please tell me.

As of now nothing has changed. The new laws banning tourists from coffeehouses, go into effect "later" this year in the border towns. The ban doesn't go in effect in Amsterdam until 2012. But the Mayor and the city council are opposed to the new restrictions and are trying to get an exemption. But for your Sept. trip you're good to go;)

Bill, Given your interest in Marijuana, you may be interested in reading Rick's Blog. Who knows, it may soon be decriminalized in Washington State!
