As anyone stayed in London and took a train to Bath to take the Mad Max morning tour? I don't mind getting an early train. Thanks
You will need to look at a time table and see how early it arrives. I would think that most tours will leave fairy early.
A few years ago, I did a daytrip to Bath from London and took an afternoon tour of Stonehenge on a Mad Max tour. I thought it was one of the best tours that I've taken. We took an early morning train from Paddington Station to Bath. Once in Bath, we rode the HOHO bus to get an overview of the city. We went to the Roman Baths, which was fascinating. After the tour, we had a quick bite to eat at the Pump Room Restaurant. The Mad Max tour departed a little after 1:00 p.m. outside of the Bath Abbey. While we were waiting for the bus, we walked across the street to see the Pulteney Bridge. The tour guide for the Mad Max tour provided an interesting commentary as we drove through the countryside. We spent about an hour at Stonehenge, which includes an audioguide. On the return trip, we stopped at Lacock (a highlight of my vacation) for a short period and the tour guide walked us through the village. Upon our arrival back in Bath, we had time to tour Bath Abbey and have dinner before taking the 8:45 p.m. train back to London.
Nan, Thanks. I've already decided to take an earlier morning train to Bath for the all day tour. I will have dinner in Bath and return to London also on the 8:45 PM train. Again, thanks
We stayed in Bath and did the full day Mad max tour to stonehenge. It was awesome, and stonehenge was not the highlight. We actually enjoyed Avebury Circle and Lacock very much. Have a great time.
