I plan to be in England this coming fall and am interested in signing up for a few Mad Max tours. However, its website says it only accepts reservations by phone. So must I make an international phone call, or should I just wait until I get to England. Would calling MM say a week before a tour time enough to get a reservation on one. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. Are there any other good tours in that part of So. England?

Did you somehow stray onto their old website? It looked very different when I booked in April, but I just looked and am seeing links to online booking for all of the tours I just checked. In April they were booking through Lion Tours, but it all went through fine by internet. I wouldn't count on there being availability on short notice (but then I'm traveling in July rather than fall).

Marilyn, I had no trouble at all back in March booking two of their tours for June on madmaxtours.co.uk for what that's worth. give that site a try and see how it goes. Tom

I took at Mad Max tour on Wednesday. I booked it at Bath TI on Monday. There was no availability on Tuesday when I booked. Note: I am not advocating waiting until the last minute. I ran out of time before leaving and did not want to use my credit card online during my trip.

I was able to book online for the full day tour. I think the 1/2 day tours were "spun off" to Lion Tours. I think Lion Tours us run by some former Mad Max drivers.
