Has anyone had to deal with the electronic toll stations on the M50 in Dublin? I think I will only be on it to take the rental car back to the airport. From the eflow.ie website, it looks like I can call locally and place the toll fee on my credit card before I board the plane. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks John
Just to be sure, I suggest you click the Contact Us link on the webpage and send them an email to ask your question. They will know better than we will.
Please post the information you receive as we will be in Ireland in September 2011 and will also need to return a rental car, so can use the information. Thanks.
Also, since it's a piddly amount, some rental outfits pay it for you somewhow (mine woudl not). The piddly initial amount doubles after a day or two and then zooms into the non-piddly category. It' be a shame trying to fight this battle running for an airplane. Go to the eflow site and click the payzone link. Look at the logo. You'll see these things all over the place (convenience stores, newstands, grocery stores etc) watch for the colors, there's not telling the size or location of the sign on window or exterior wall). Pay in advance and be done with it. All they need is your license number.
You can pay the fee at the gas station at the Dublin airport or at the coffee shop just outside the terminal. You need your car license number. It takes seconds if there isn't a line. I don't see any reason to screw around with their website.
