Has anyone had recent experience with the tolls on M50 around Dublin? I read a post dated Sept 09 that you do not pay the toll on the road and that a picture is taken of your license plate and that you have until 8:00PM the following day to pay the toll at a gas station. The poster’s problem was that he could not find a gas station who knew about collecting the tolls. Have any recent Ireland travelers had problems?

You don't have to pay at a gas station. You can pay at any payzone outlet. Not all gas stations are payzone outlets. Payzone outlets are all over the place.
Eyeball payzone.ie. Note what the logo looks like. Go anywhere that has one of these posted. Pay.

I rented a car from Dan Dooley Car Rental and was able to pay the toll in advance at the car rental desk - then took the receipt to the toll desk at Dublin airport and got a receipt. All was very easy......
Ask at your car rental place and I'm sure they all offer this service.

I believe most Dublin car rental companies already build it into the fee. Ask them for sure however.
