London with a Toddler

Are there any sights/museumes that would be good for a toddler? We're taking our 20 month old daughter in December and with the winter weather the parks will be miserable. So any ideas for indoor things where a little one could run free?

The Natural Science Museum has things that most children enjoy, like dinosaurs and rocks! She won't be able "to run free" because it is a museum after all and there are other visitors to consider. Also, the Museum of Childhood which is in Bethnal Green would be interesting to her. Toys, games, and dolls from all different generations. They have just redone it and it is fabulous! Give that one a try!

Christmas decorations will be up so you may want to take her to some of the bigger stores.

Harrods has an amazing toy department which I'm sure she'll love...but it may cost you!!!

Check to see if they are any "pantomime" shows for young kids.

I believe "Time Out London" has a section of events for kids.

Try googling: London Children
