London with 7-year-old

Hi all, love this board.
We are coming to London next week and have organized our trip seeing all the major sights. We'd like to end it with a bang on Saturday night...meaning something in the evening, with food. Maybe a Thames dinner cruise? Does anyone have a suggestion for our last night? I have a 7-year old girl who is a very good traveler and a husband with a fondness for pubs and fish and chips.

It's kinda hard to suggest something, not knowing what you will be doing during the week.
You could have a pub meal in Covent Garden and then go on to the theatre...your daughter would love The Lion King. The theatre is a couple blocks from Covent Garden. I have seen The Lion King three times in London and loved each time.

Good idea. Do you have any pub recommendations for Covent Garden? Anything kid friendly?

There is a nice informal French restaurant a block North of the "market" at Covent Garden- informal with wide selection. "Amis Du Vin". They also have a quieter more formal rstaurant upstairs. cater very much to the Opera/Theater crowd.

We took an 8 year old granddaughter on an outing to London last summer and enjoyed a couple of theater matinees (because of her age) near Covent Garden. We had dinner after the show. There is a very flower bedecked, theatrical restaurant about 2 blocks east of CV on Drury called Sarastro. We all loved the unique interior and great middle eastern food. A little bit of a disappointment for us was not buying tickets to the Lion King in advance. They were completely sold out and I did not want to spend time waiting for return tickets the night of the show as we had an alternative show already picked out.
