I will be in London for 3 days in July, and was wondering the best option for bus and tube travel. Not sure how much I will use both, but could be considerable. If I got an Oyster card, what are the options?

The best option is to get an Oyster card and charge it with money to use it as a payment card. The system will automatically ensure that you are not charged more than you would pay for a day Travelcard in one day. If you were staying for longer, it might be worthwhile to get a weekly Travelcard, but for three days the PAYG will be most efficient.
