London Toolkit Day Tours from London

We are 2 seniors, 2 adults, and 2 children (8 and 10) planning a 5 day stay in London in April, 2012. We (the seniors) do not like tours but due to the short time and the sites we would like to see, we're considering a day tour to Stonehenge and Bath using Londontoolkit.com as they have a tour for 39pounds for adults. Has anyone used London Toolkit to book tours? Any other operator recommendations? We are planning to get the Original Tour HOHO ticket. Has anyone purchased these online? Any other suggestions?

There is really no need to buy HOHO bus tickets early. You just get on at any stop and pay then. Unless there was a significant discount and you are not locked into a date, I wouldn't order online. It doesn't matter at what point you join the tour - just ride it around to where you started.

Thanks - but is there a discount when you buy online?

There are 2 HOHO bus companies that I know of- The Big Bus company and The Original company. Both are fairly equal. Check their websites about discounts- I haven't heard of any. We found it fairly easy to do most day trips on our own, by train. If you send me a private message with you email, I'll send you a copy of an article I wrote for AAA Carolina's "Go!" magazine about basing yourself in London and doing day trips by train.
